Our Story

Chris Waltz started Coda Specification Consulting in 2022 after more than 20 years of working in national and international design firms, holding positions from drafter to Principal. During this time, he worked with some of the top universities and hospital systems in the United States and the UK and came to understand the critical role that specifications play in completing the design contained in the drawings. Chris holds degrees in both engineering and architecture from Virginia Tech, is currently a licensed Architect in four states, is a member of the American Institute of Architects, has been a LEED AP for over 20 years, is a certified Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) and holds an OSHA 10 certificate.
